Summit Demonstrators

The Second Annual Healthcare Summit will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 19 and Thursday, Feb 20. The event will be held at the Ohio Expo Center’s Lausche Building (717 East 17th Avenue Columbus, OH 42311). Healthcare practitioners are invited to sign-up as demonstrators across six occupation-focused station areas. For each day, there are three time blocks to choose from. Demonstrators will be provided complimentary lunch and parking on Wed., Feb. 19 and Thurs., Feb. 20.

This event will welcome over 2,000 students from 42 unique high schools along with hosting an adult-focused session in the afternoon.

Select All Occupation-Focused Areas below where you could serve as a demonstrator. Instructions will be provided on the listed activities, and you will be invited to attend planning sessions in January.

Registered Nurse: Activities include 1) supply stations - output (chest sim, measuring WS, suction), 2) IV-vein finder, 3) wounds supplies and activity, 4) baby simulators, 5) adult sounds simulators, and 6) VR station.

Rad Tech / Imaging: Activities include 1) XR, 2) IR/OR, 3) MR, 4) CT, and 5) US.

Med Lab Tech: Activities include 1) DNA extraction from strawberries, 2) microscope learning activity, and 3) PPE don/doff.

Surg Tech: Activities include 1) operating on oranges, 2) cornhole, and 3) VR.

Respiratory Therapist: Activities include 1) airway clearance, 2) bronchoscopies and intubation, and 3) ventilation and pig lungs.

Medical Assistant: Activities include 1) rooming station, 2) EKG Simulation, 3) Dispensing Medication, and 4) lab tests.
