Event Days: Wed., Feb.19 and Thurs., Feb. 20

Below you can choose the role(s) and time block(s) you’d like to provide support.

This event will welcome over 2,000 students from 42 unique high schools along with an adult-focused session in the afternoon.

Roles

Set-up on Tues., Feb. 18: Label tables, arrange tables for the occupation stations per each unique schematic, guide vendors to their tables, set-up the information station, erect signage, and provide additional support as needed.

February 19 and 20:

  • Monitors and Floaters - liaison between the Info Station and professionals checking into their respective occupation stations. Greet and guide attendees, helping them find their assigned station per their respective badges. Provide alerts for any needs voiced by attendees or professionals working the stations. Act as eyes and ears for the event, notifying event leaders of any remarkable activities and/or urgent needs (i.e. an extra power cord is needed). Coordinate with the bus welcoming team to bring students into the event and into their assigned occupation stations. Monitors and floaters will help answer questions (i.e. where is the bathroom?) as well.

  • Info Station - check in all professionals working the event (volunteers and healthcare practitioners). Manage and provide parking stubs and buffet stubs.

  • Student Guides and Activity Timers - help guide students within occupation stations, ensuring they rotate to activities within the occupation stations every 5 to 7 minutes. Help students rotate occupation stations every 30 minutes.

  • Bus Team - welcome buses to the event per the assigned schedule by making contact with the school chaperones to ensure that all students are prepared with their pre-delivered agenda badges / lanyards. The bus team will also help schools depart the venue in a timely manner to their nearby parked bus (buses park for free).

Tear-Down on Thurs., Feb. 20: Help breakdown event signage, place any loose trash in receptacles, and remove any paper labels from the tables. Assist employers with removing any materials / equipment as necessary, too.
